DESCRIPTION: Thoughts of Anime was created with Poser and Photoshop. It combines two different styles, realism and anime. The goal is to have hints of both of these styles without being over powering. One of the best ways to grab the attention of the viewer is to have something slightly out of place "not perfect." This picture accomplished this by having the grass in front of the character bend in the opposite direction as the blowing hair. Our eyes are naturally drawn to things that appear to be out of place, even if it's a slight difference. The character makes use of 2 easy to apply effects, the Guassian Blur and the Burn effect. These tools are common with many of the popular graphic editing software like Photoshop and Paintshop Pro. The Guassian Blur is used to soften the characters edges and lines and the Burn Tool is used to to increase or create shadow areas on the character that naturally blends in with the color.

The multiple layers, the grass alone was done on 4 layers in order to add different grass color and different drop shadow effects. All of this together gives the grass the different shades of green. The right contrast of dark colors and bright colors helps to make the colors stand out. In addition to the right contrast, the picture makes use of the Photoshop's ability to increase color saturation.
